Create Backup Directory

To start the backup process, you first need to create a backup directory for the machine on the dashboard.

Step 1: On the Dashboard screen, select the machine you want to use:

Step 2: Select Add folder:

Step 3: In the Add New Folder window, enter the information for the directory you want to create:

  • 1: Name Folder: The identifier name of the directory on the dashboard
  • 2: Directory Path: The absolute path of the directory on the server
  • 3: Description Folder: A description for the directory
  • 4: Policy: You can create a new policy or use previously created policies for the machine. You can learn more about policies here
  • Select Confirm to complete the creation of the backup directory
