CDN FAQs - Content Delivery Network

What is Bizfly CDN?

CDN (Content Delivery Network) is a solution for storing static files such as images, js/css files, etc., on Bizfly Cloud’s system servers to prevent overload on users’ servers.

How is Bizfly CDN different from Bizfly Cloud Server?

Bizfly CDN differs from Bizfly Cloud Server in that it only serves Online applications like websites, online games… while Bizfly Cloud Server can be used for any purpose, whether Online or Offline.

What components of Online applications does Bizfly CDN serve?

HTML part: displays text content on websites (Bizfly CDN doesn’t currently offer this part)

Presentation and effects part (CSS and JavaScript)

Media part (video and images)

Bizfly CDN will help accelerate the display of CSS, JavaScript, Images, and Video files because Bizfly CDN’s servers store these files and are located in each Region (HCMC, Hanoi) on each ISP (VDC, FPT, Viettel)

Bizfly CDN uses the most advanced recognition technology based on Location and RUM to deliver content to users

What are the benefits?

Regardless of where the user’s server is located in the world, the website will display very quickly

Server load will be reduced by up to 80% (e.g., CPU usage drops from 80% to just over 10%) => saving costs on new server investment and allowing reuse of old servers for other purposes

Pay only for what you use, no monthly subscription commitments

When using Bizfly CDN domain, will users accessing the customer’s domain be redirected to the Bizfly CDN domain?

No, only image files, CSS, and JS run through Bizfly CDN’s system, their domain won’t be redirected.

What types of recognition are there?

Location-based recognition means users in the North will request files from servers in Hanoi, while users in the South will request files from servers in the South.

RUM (Real User Monitoring) recognition means Bizfly CDN will measure the speed from users to servers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and users will request files from whichever server provides faster speeds.

How do you upload files to Bizfly CDN?

Bizfly CDN operates on a Pull Request mechanism, meaning when a file isn’t cached on Bizfly CDN, our system will automatically request it from your origin server, cache it on the Bizfly CDN system, and serve it to users instead of the origin server. Therefore, you don’t need to upload files to the Bizfly CDN system; you just need to rewrite the domain in the file URL to the CDN domain we’ve provided you.

How does backup work?

Since Bizfly CDN doesn’t store files long-term but only caches them for a period (typically 3 days) to serve users, when the cache expires or is deleted, the Bizfly CDN server will automatically request the file from the origin server to cache it again. Therefore, we don’t perform backups for files running on Bizfly CDN.

How can I monitor Bizfly CDN?

When your site starts using Bizfly CDN, you can monitor usage on the dashboard page. Data on the dashboard will be updated daily by us.

How does Bizfly CDN automatically update when I change a file?

When you need to change a file’s content, you can add ?v=1,2,3.. to the end of the link and CDN will automatically update.

For example:

Or you can use the flush cache feature for the entire domain on the dashboard. We recommend changing the file name instead, as using the flush cache feature won’t clear users’ browser cache.

What about Bizfly CDN domains?

CDN domains are currently automatically assigned by the system based on your domain.

How do I delete unused excess domains?

Contact Bizfly Cloud, and we will assist you.

Does Bizfly Cloud’s CDN service provide an API for file uploads?

Currently, we don’t support pushing files to the CDN system; we only support file caching.

What about the CDN Server network? Is the network expanding internationally? And when will it expand?

Currently, we have servers in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Other locations are being considered for additional deployment. Users will receive files from the nearest server cluster to optimize speed.

What are the specifications of Bizfly CDN servers?

We use servers with 32GB RAM, latest generation CPUs, SSD storage, and network speeds from 2Gbps to 10Gbps, divided into two clusters in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, caching files to accelerate access for users in both regions.

How is my Bizfly CDN usage data secured?

Site data is only accessible to the Bizfly CDN team & you, not shared with any third parties, including other departments within Bizfly Cloud.
