Terminology
These terms will help you better understand the information when reading the documentation about the Bizfly Cloud Billing & Payment system.
- Customer Code: a unique code for a Billing account, in the form of a string of 4 characters consisting of numbers and uppercase letters. This code is included in the invoice code.
- Balance: the payment account, which can be understood as an e-wallet, showing the amount of money you currently have.
- Invoice (Bill): A record of the customer’s service usage information regarding time and amount used.
- Cost: the amount of money used for the customer’s resources.
- Discount: The amount or percentage that the customer is reduced on the cost.
- Amount Due: The final amount the customer needs to pay for the invoice.
- Invoice Status:
- Unpaid: the invoice has been created but not yet paid.
- Paid: the invoice has been paid.
- Canceled/Draft: the invoice has been invalidated or temporarily calculated, and is no longer valid for payment.
- Invoice Date: The time the system issues the service invoice for the customer.
- Regular Invoice Date: 0:00 on the first day of the month.
- Payment: The action of deducting money from the Balance to pay for the invoice.
- Billing Period: The period starting from the invoice date to the last day of that month. For example, the December period starts from: 1/12 to the end of 31/12.
- Start of Period (Start of Billing Period): The invoice date or the regular invoice date, depending on which date is earlier.
- End of Period (End of Billing Period): The last day of the month.
- Invoice Code: A unique identifier for each invoice. Structure: 66-
- -<year/month>- . For example: 66-B0M2-99-1812-01. See the service code table for each service. - Resource: the components that need to be charged for the service.
- Subscription Resource: fixed-charge resources, billed by package. For example: CPU, RAM, Disk space…
- Variable Resource: resources that fluctuate during usage. For example: data transfer, number of requests,…
- Pay as you go (PAYG): a mechanism for charging based on the number of hours used.
- Pause Service: The resources of the service will be locked, and the customer cannot operate.
- Delete Service: The resources of the service will be removed from the system.
